Douglas Baxter

Senior Associate Attorney

Douglas Baxter is a Senior Associate Attorney that handles felony and misdemeanor criminal cases. Douglas has represented clients in cases ranging from traffic tickets to shooting with intent to kill. Douglas also represents clients in civil matters including expungements and property disputes.

Douglas received his law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law and has undergraduate degrees from OSU-OKC and Southern Nazarene University. Prior to joining the Hunsucker Legal Group, Douglas interned with Judge Lumpkin of the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals. Having clerked for the Criminal Appeals Court, Doug is well versed in criminal case law and is able to use that knowledge for our clients’ benefit. Douglas is certified in administering the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and is licensed by the State of Oklahoma as an Independent Operator of the Intoxilyzer 8000. Licensed in Oklahoma and the United States Federal Court in the Western District of Oklahoma, Douglas puts his knowledge and experience to use as he represents our clients’ interests.

Douglas is a member of the National College for DUI Defense, the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Oklahoma County Bar Association. Douglas has attended national, regional and local seminars, including the National College for DUI Defense’s Summer Session Trial Skills seminar at Harvard University. Douglas is always working to stay on top of the most current laws and to enhance his skills.

Born in Lindsay, Oklahoma and raised in Tuttle, Oklahoma, Douglas is a native Oklahoman through and through. He understands the meaning of a handshake and is the epitome of true loyalty.
