Case Results

Preparation can make all the difference in legal proceedings. A prepared attorney is one who knows the intricacies of the case and the legal system, and can work to find solutions for their clients. At the Hunsucker Legal Group, we are always prepared for our cases and work to find positive outcomes when possible.  Below are examples of cases in which our attorneys made a difference and got a result.

Felon in Possession After Conviction – Dismissal of Charges

Our client was stopped for speeding.  The officer smelled marijuana during the stop and searched the vehicle. The client was looking at 2 major charges: felon in possession of a firearm and felon in possession of marijuana.

We provided substantial evidence that resulted in the dismissal of the marijuana charge. Additional evidence proved that our client was not aware that the weapon was in the automobile, which led to the dismissal of all charges.

Domestic Abuse – Dismissal of Charges

An attorney at our firm was hired to defend a client that he believed was falsely accused of domestic abuse. Our attorney was able to demonstrate that the allegations were not believable and that the client acted in self-defense. The case was dismissed.

Sexual Harassment – Not Guilty Verdict

Allegations of sexual harassment were made at a university. One of our attorneys appeared with our client in front of the campus disciplinary board. We presented evidence that resulted in no charges being formally leveled. The student was able to return to school.

Open Container Violation – Dismissal of Charges

Our client was involved in an accident that involved a telephone pole. We immediately began investigating the case and discovered a number of flaws and inconsistencies in the case that resulted in the dismissal of the charges.

DUI – Dismissal of Charges

Our client was stopped for not using a turn signal and was arrested and charged with a DUI.  Our attorney filed a motion for dismissal that eventually led to the charges being dropped.

DUI – Reduced Charges

A professional nurse was pulled over for erratic driving after a working 12-hour shift at the hospital. The officer assumed that he was driving under the influence and DUI charges were filed.  We began investigating the situation and discovered a number of holes in the case that eventually resulted in a reduced charge of reckless driving.
