Oklahoma College Campus Sex Crimes
A sex crime can be a horrible experience for everyone involved. In many cases, the victim knows the alleged perpetrator in some way (a friend, a friend of a friend, a connection, an acquaintance, etc.). There are many classifications of sex crimes under Oklahoma law.
Consequences for Sex Crimes
Especially because of zero-tolerance or three-strikes policies on most college campuses, the consequences for being found guilty of sexual assault on a college campus are extremely severe. Some consequences include lengthy court cases, large fines, a permanent stain on your criminal record, or time served in jail.
Once convicted of a sex crime, one may also be subject to consequences of character such as academic probation, loss of financial aid, expulsion/exclusion from organizations, loss of recommendations, difficulties in internship and job placement, and even expulsion from the institution.
